Ghana

Ghana (/ˈɡɑːnə/ (approximately this soundlisten)), formally the Republic of Ghana, is a rustic located alongside the Gulf of Guinea and Atlantic Ocean, in the subregion of West Africa. Spanning a land mass of 238,535 km2 (ninety two,099 sq.Mi), Ghana is bordered by the Ivory Coast in the west, Burkina Faso within the north, Togo within the east and the Gulf of Guinea and Atlantic Ocean in the south. Ghana means "Warrior King" within the Soninke language.[11]

The primary everlasting nation inside the territory of present-day Ghana dates again to the 11th century. Ghana's population of approximately 30 million[16] spans a selection of ethnic, linguistic and non secular organizations.[6] in line with the 2010 census, 71.2% of the population was Christian, 17.6% was Muslim, and 5.2% practised conventional faiths.[17] Its diverse geography and ecology degrees from coastal savannahs to tropical rain forests.

Ghana is a unitary constitutional democracy led by using a president who is each head of state and head of the government.[18] Ghana's growing economic prosperity and democratic political gadget have made it a local electricity in West Africa.[19] it is a member of the Non-Aligned motion, the African Union, the economic community of West African States (ECOWAS), organization of 24 (G24) and the Commonwealth of nations.[20]
